Hi, I'm Sunny.

Hi, Everyone . I'm Sunny from Korea.
It's very nice to meet all of you.
and I'm very pleased to study English with you.
Please help me to explore beautiful Thailand.
Kuriko, Thank you for introducing this class to me.

The Good Oil

When I read articles in the Health section of the BBC News, it's often a bit depressing - I learn that coffee is bad for me, or something else that I love isn't very healthy. But tonight there was some good news.

In the article "Olive oil 'helps prevent stroke' " a five year study of more than 7,000 French people found a correlation between regularly using olive oil and suffering a stroke. The people who used lots of olive oil everyday were 41% less likely to have a stroke than people who did not use it. Other stories linked to on the page report on the benefits of olive oil for the heart and for cutting cancer risk.

I use olive oil, the tasty, extra virgin type that is recommended, every day. I pour a bit on my salads, I put it in my omelettes and sometimes I just dip bread in and eat it. It makes my waist grow, but I've also believed it was good for getting rid of unhealthy fat, and now there is some evidence that it also good for protecting the brain from strokes. And I love the taste of olive oil - I usually use an Italian one, but sometimes I like to try Spanish and other olive oils. When I first came to Thailand, it was a bit hard to find, but now, lots of supermarkets in the area have a good range  - even Foodland stocks it.
